Guess who is having the best week ever?……..Not I…..and clearly not Osama Bin Laden. Actually I have no clue who is having the best week ever…..but whatever. 10 years later Obama and his team finally found the mastermind behind 9/11 chillin in a mansion……living the good life. I thought this dude was at least suffering in a 2x4 cave with minimal oxygen. The news shocked me for all of 2.5 seconds. Then I spent the next hour reading the knee-slapping ignorance on twitter while waiting for Obama to come on television. I was completely indifferent to the fact the Bin Laden was dead. It didn’t do anything to impact my life personally aka classes weren’t cancelled and gas prices have yet to go down. The highlight of my night was probably reading twitter until Obama’s speech helped me to remember the lives that were lost in 9/11 and their families who finally have gained some closure. For that I gained more respect for Obama, which I didn’t even think was humanely possible. I still think that after that speech Obama should have walked off to Baracka Flocka Flame…..because he is just that much of a G. I am apprehensive of the backlash that bin laden’s death could cause but until then Im D.C. chillin looking for a flight to Miami because prices are about to go down….basement.

Sooo its been a while and I do apologize. I’ve been trying to get my life together…the key word here is trying. Yeah my life is still in shambles but what else is new. Today I was surfing the net doing anything but my homework and I realized how dope it would have been to be my age in 1990. Everything in the 21st century is so superficial and quick to change. Trends are started and within 2 hours they cease to exist. The trends of the 90s are forever etched in my mind from the television to the books to the clothes etc. Not to mention my current hairstyle ( Actually……right now its not really a style but more like a mop on my head) would allow to me fit right into that era. If I even begin to start to start on music this brief post will turn into a book. Music now sucks. Music then was amazing. I think that simple statement sums up my thoughts. Although I am a 90s baby and I had a chance to experience Saturday Morning cartoons and the amazingess that was rated TV-Y7; I feel like at the age of 21 I would have cherished the realness of life so much more. People actually had relations with each other sans e-mail, text and skype. Artists actually made money off of people going out and buying their records. Movies actually had plots. I wish I could go back in time and experience life as a young adult back then……but I”m stuck here in the now so I might as well make the most of it. Im just feeling like being on my 90s swag right now…..random I know. Instead of doing my homework….I”m gonna go watch some Fresh Prince.

My friend just showed me this video of this Nigerian Girl and I DIED. It actually made my day in so many ways. I couldn’t even watch the whole thing because I don’t think I would have been able to make it through without peeing on myself, crying, or both.

Anyone who really knows me could tell you that I strongly dislike the rachettness that is southern music. As soon as I hear “Knuck if you buck” at a party, I run off the dance floor because I cherish my life and would like to make it to the age of 22. However the week I spent in Miami changed my views on southern rap music. Don’t get me wrong, its still utter and complete rachettness, but I have a new found ~~dare I say~~ respect for it? Okay I don’t know if I respect it and all but basically it grew on me. I mean if you hear the same songs 7 nights in a row, it would grow on you too!! Spring Break 101

This Spring I decided to take my talents to South Beach and join the——- Okay lemme stop haha. Last week was probably one of the most epic weeks of my life. South Beach was like going to a utopia full of fine shirtless men. It was like something I have never experienced before probably because I’ve never experienced it before. They were everywhere in every color shape and size. The beach was my own private catalog of men. ~~I’m way too excited for my own good.~~ ::Moving on:: I’d like to call our daily routine BFC—Beach, Frolic, Clubbing. We’d wake up, go to the beach, drink, frolic, play a little football, frolic, then return to our hotel to get ready to go out. The only negative was the fact that I was blowing money fast. I clearly thought I was Big Meech or some shit, but it was all worth it. I love that place so much Im trying to go back in about 2 months……#craziness I know, but hey you only live once right??

I could discuss the omenistic moments that we had but they were so miniscule compared to the amount of fun Miami had to offer that for once I will refrain from the negativity that is my life.

Honestly I think us Blacks can be the most prejudice people in the world…….We claim we want respect from other cultures but yet we always catergorize each other. This “Lightskin/Darksin”, “Youre not Black enough”, “You act white” sh-t has to stop. Having an afro or natural doesnt mean you can talk down to someone who gets relaxers. Just because someone speaks with intelligence & wants an education doesnt make them “white”, Being “lightskin” with long hair doesnt make you superior to someone with darker skin and kinky hair. Fact is if it were 1850 we would all be “niggas” regardless of income, skin color, hair or heritage. We would all still be owned by someone, we all still wouldve had to work for the “white man” who breed and raped us to this “lighter” or “darker” tone that we know today. How come we were all the same back then, but now its like we are “races” within a race
